Subaru has never been afraid to “zig” when the competition “zags.” Many things about Subaru are, well, different. With their “boxer” horizontally-opposed engines, standard all-wheel drive, and lineup of station wagons, they don’t have a history of just copying the competition. This is why it was not such a shock when Subaru first announced their new and improved Impreza with a smaller and less powerful engine, while most manufacturers boast about having more power with each redesign.

TORONTO, Oct. 13, 2011 /CNW/ - Ultimately it's all about performance, and the 2012 WRX STI continues as the ultimate-performance Subaru with its high-boost 305-horsepower turbocharged/intercooled SUBARU BOXER engine teamed with a 6-speed manual transmission and the exclusive Multi-Mode Driver Controlled Centre Differential (DCCD) version of Subaru's symmetrical full-time All-Wheel Drive system.

The 2012 Subaru Impreza is lighter than its predecessor. It's better looking and its fuel economy is vastly improved. It's also faster and the exhaust pipe emits only ice cream. The ice cream is magic and if you eat it, you won't get fat and everyone will think you're sexy. Impreza? This car will influence so many people, they should've called it the Influenza.

Subaru’s plan for the next four years, like most automakers, is to quickly launch new vehicles that are more fuel efficient, according to Ward’s Automotive.
The company plans to release four completely new vehicles over the next four years, said Toshio Masuda, the automaker’s senior general manager of product planning. Those models exclude the 2012 Subaru Impreza, which goes on sale in the coming months. A high-powered WRX and STI are also coming to the Impreza, Masuda said. The goal is for the top-of-the-line Impreza to get a boxer engine rated at 300 horsepower.

We have been assured that Subaru’s next-generation WRX and STI models—based on the all-new 2012 Impreza, which goes on sale in November—will happen. While we couldn’t squeeze out an exact intro date for the performance versions, you’re going to have to wait a while if you want one: We’ve heard from people who ought to know that they won’t arrive for a couple of years (the current models will remain in production until they arrive).

Don't call it an Outback Sport. This is Subaru's new XV crossover, and though it totally fits the bill as a successor to the Impreza-based Outback Sports of yore, the Japanese automaker says that this little orange all-roader takes the company "into the compact crossover segment for the first time." (Nevermind that the XV isn't actually a new model, or that it is, minus a few very minor tweaks, exactly what the Impreza Outback Sport used to be).
This guide will show you how to install a Digital brand HID kit into your 3rd Generation Subaru Impreza. In this case, it was done into a 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX 5 Door. At the same time I installed 9005 SilverStar Ultra high-beams.
